Saint Paul's is our sister church and Father Robert Fayers was Licensed as Priest-in-Charge of that Parish on 17 November 2006, having previously had pastoral care of it in recent years. From 1 December 2011 Saint Michael’s and Saint Paul’s, whilst still retaining their distinct parishes, were joined into a united Benefice; Fr. Robert Fayers being the first Vicar. The sole patron of the Benefice is the Society for the Maintenance of the Faith.Owing to this modern day link the two churches now work closely together. However, there are also many historic links:
Father Charles Beanlands, the first Perpetual Curate of Saint Michael's, began his ministry as an Assistant Curate at Saint Paul's, serving there for 11 years under the legendary Father Arthur Wagner. At Saint Paul's Fr. Beanlands would have met George Bodley who worshipped there and served there as churchwarden.
Both churches were at the forefront of the Anglo- Catholic movement in the 19th Century and remain so to this day.
